Announcing the CloudStack Collaboration Conference: November 30 - December 2, 2012 in Las Vegas

We’re pleased to announce the first CloudStack Collaboration Conference, to be held in Las Vegas at The Venetian from November 30th through December 2nd. We’re now accepting proposals for talks at the Collaboration Conference, through October 5th.

The Collaboration Conference will give CloudStack users an opportunity to learn about improvements in the upcoming Apache CloudStack 4.0 release, and best practices for deploying and managing CloudStack. Users will also be able to attend sessions on projects and tools that work well with CloudStack for configuration management, storage, monitoring, creating a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) on top of CloudStack, and more.

Developers will enjoy sessions on contributing to CloudStack, discussions on CloudStack architecture, workshops to collaborate with other CloudStack contributors, and more.

Attendees will also be treated to evening events to recharge after a full day, and get to know the rest of the CloudStack community.

Call for Presentations

The program committee is looking for presentations and workshops related to working with and developing Apache CloudStack. This includes everything from running CloudStack at scale, best practices for working with IaaS clouds, discussions about CloudStack’s architecture, proposals for post–4.0 development, and more. We’re also open to talks on tools that go hand-in-hand with managing Apache CloudStack, like configuration management and monitoring tools.

In short, if it’s relevant to Apache CloudStack deployment and/or development, we’re interested in what you have to say.

Submit proposals at by October 5th. Notifications will go out on October 12th, 2012 and the final program will be announced by October 15th. Keynote announcements will go out shortly.

Travel and Registration

Conference registration will open shortly. The conference is free to attend, but we do need attendees to register in order to plan food and events accordingly.

There will be a block of rooms at The Venetian at the rate of $159 per night for the duration of the conference. We’ll be putting up registration codes for the venue shortly.

Citrix has made it possible to have a limited number of sponsorships for speakers who need travel assistance, so if you need travel sponsorship please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

We’re excited about the opportunity to meet with the larger CloudStack community, learn and collaborate face to face! Spread the word, and join us in Las Vegas on November 30th.

Citrix supports the open source community via developer support and evangeslism. We have a number of developers and evangelists that participate actively in the open source community in Apache Cloudstack, OpenDaylight, Xen Project and XenServer. We also conduct educational activities via the Build A Cloud events held all over the world.
