What kind of plugin are you looking to develop? Authentication? Storage? Something else?

For example, additional menu(s) in cloudstack interface for billing or monitoring based on instances declared.
Lots of open source solutions have plugins (glpi, cacti, ...) to extend product possibilities with external contributors.
The idea is to use main code classes, add some tables and new menus in the interface.
