Hello everybody

I have one doubt with updateVirtualMachine. I'm create the Network Offering as blog.remibergsma.com/2012/03/10/howto-cr...ut-a-virtual-router/ because I need the Hybrid Cloud with others physicals servers.
I need to change networkid of NIC on some virtual machines but is not possible. I'm reading the documentation on download.cloud.com/releases/3.0.0/api_3....eVirtualMachine.html.

I can only change the values of displayname, group, haenable, ostypeid and userdata.

Why I can not change the other values of the virtual machine? Example account, domainid, hostname etc...

Thanks!

Hi,

I am pretty sure this api call is for running instances, and therefore you cannot move that instance to a different account/domain.

You should make sure your network offering is properly defined, then start instances with that network.

Hi,

I could move the Virtual Machine between accounts and indicate the parameter networkid with the API assignVirtualMachine.
I have a vlan of deploy, where I use the Cobbler.
I created an account called deploycobbler and then move the virtual machine to that vlan and perform the installation. At the end of the installation I move back to the correct account.
For me this is solution.

Thanks
