TOPIC: Build 4.0

Build 4.0 1 year 1 month ago #12651

I am trying to build CloudStack from apache git repo but it does not work.

When i do ant :

BUILD FAILED
/root/incubator-cloudstack/build.xml:48: The following error occurred while executing this line:
/root/incubator-cloudstack/build/build-aws-api.xml:34: taskdef class org.apache.axis2.tool.ant.AntCodegenTask cannot be found

I think there is not enough files in deps directory ....

Odds are, you'll have better luck asking this sort of question on the cloudstack-dev mailing list. The developers don't tend to read the forums as much.

Default version when you clone CS git repo is probably CloudStack 4.1.0,
so you should go with CS4.1.0 and later method, which involves Apache Maven tool.

To compile Apache CloudStack, go to the cloudstack source folder and run:

export MAVEN_OPTS="-Xmx1024m"

mvn -P developer clean install

To deploy Apache CloudStack, run:

service mysqld start

mvn -P developer -pl developer,tools/devcloud -Ddeploydb

Run Apache CloudStack
To start CloudStack, run:

mvn -pl :cloud-client-ui jetty:run

Log Into Apache CloudStack
Open your Web browser and use this URL to connect to CloudStack:

http://localhost:8080/client/

or

http://ip_address_where_cloudstack_is_running:8080/client
