hi guys,

I would like to ask if there is a support for XCP hypervisor in cloudstack. I installed the xenserver support package but I got an Err: FATAL: missing dependency xs:main.

I then search google about for the problem and I got a solution in this site wiki.xen.org/wiki/XCP_CloudStack. Unfortunately, the said procedures still doesn't work.

Hoping for your reply.

Regards

Man :),
actually there is no need to install any CSP on XCP,
just install XCP 1.5 on compute node and you can add it to CS-4.0.0,
for earlier versions of CloudStack I don't know exactly.

hi sincomp,

I see, so I dont need the CSP package on XCP. That's nice. Are you using CS-4 in XCP?

thanks.

Yes we got Cloudstack 4.0.0 + XCP 1.5 working together,
but have to modify XCP default template name of
'Debian Squeeze 6.0 (64-bit)'

to

'Debian Squeeze 6.0 (64-bit) (experimental)'.

On XCP host:
xe template-list |grep -b2 "Debian Squeeze 6.0 (64-bit)"
xe template-param-set name-label="Debian Squeeze 6.0 (64-bit) (experimental)" uuid=<uuid of Debian Squeeze 6.0 (64-bit) template>

This easier way and it is a workaround until next version of CS4 has come.

This could be resolved in CS Java code too on this place
git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=incuba...itrixHelper.java#l58

as CS4.0 still resolves mapping of XCP guest names as it was in XCP 1.1
