HI

I am unable to add Xen 6.0.2 host with advanced network configuration in cloudstack 4.0.

I did Basic set-up successfully, now testing advanced networking setup with a different host.

While launching zone I am getting an error " something went wrong, adding host failed".

How can I troubleshoot it? Where can I view the logs?

I have gone through this forum, but unable to find resolution. Please help me.

Thanks,
Arun.

I had the exact same problem. Adding a host in a simple zone went fluent but when I tried to create an advanced zone and add the host I got this message:
2013-03-12 10:47:07,608 WARN [xen.resource.CitrixResourceBase] (catalina-exec-5:null) Unable to get host information for 192.168.1.39
java.lang.NullPointerException

The solution for me was to make sure the storage traffic (Red button) is available in at least one network(in the wizard). Also when a vlan or vlan range was requested, I just picked one, non overlapping. After those actions everything went fine.
