Hi @ll,

I successfully installed Cloudstack on Ubuntu 10.04 and added one host with KVM to the infrastructure. Now it seems Cloudstack tries to deploy the Storage VM but this VM doesn't start. On the host I got the following in /var/log/libvirt/libvirt.log:

11:27:55.401: 1199: error : virStorageBackendCreateRaw:398 : cannot create path '/mnt/190a5226-1e54-31eb-a18b-372a80f017a5/c705a7fe-e279-4da3-8f6f-1ccdb074d51c': Remote I/O error
11:27:56.271: 1199: error : virFileOpenAsNoFork:669 : cannot chown '/mnt/190a5226-1e54-31eb-a18b-372a80f017a5/58d9538d-72e1-4ff4-b519-ecd9939b5df8' to (0, 0): Remote I/O error

But the storage seems to be mounted correctly:
cloud1:/srv/export/primary on /mnt/190a5226-1e54-31eb-a18b-372a80f017a5 type nfs (rw,vers=4,addr=,clientaddr=

My NFS share is on a dedicated server
/srv/export	*(rw,async,no_root_squash,subtree_check,insecure)

Anybody an idea where to have a look?

well that s a good question, i met this error as well and fixed it but in a way that is not satisfying (to my mind). That s a matter of rigths, i edited /etc/idmapd.conf (i m on centos but if i remember well it s the same for ubuntu) and changed "nobody-user =root" and "nobody-group=root"
If fixed the problem for me, but if someone has a better solution i m interested in!
