I have a secondary storage VM running with
Public IP Address 10.89.99.40
Private IP Address 10.89.98.206

I log into the server running the VM. Here is what I get:

[root@KNTCLCN001 ~]# ssh -i /root/.ssh/id_rsa_cloud -p 3922 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Warning: Identity file /root/.ssh/id_rsa_cloud not accessible: No such file or d irectory.
ssh: connect to host 10.89.98.206 port 3922: Connection refused

I have disabled iptables on all servers for the moment, to ensure this is not a port issue.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

The VM is reporting as running in cloudstack and I did installed xenserver-cloud-supp.iso
on KNTCLCN001. It is running XenServer 6.

hi CloudClown, this seems to be a pbem with this file "/root/.ssh/id_rsa_cloud": do you have it on your host?
if you display the web console of the SSVM, does it work? i think the SSVM should be ok

Yeah, the file exists:

[root@KNTCLCN001 ~]# cd /root
[root@KNTCLCN001 ~]# cd .ssh
[root@KNTCLCN001 .ssh]# ls
authorized_keys id_rsa.cloud known_hosts
[root@KNTCLCN001 .ssh]#

No, I cant display it through the web console.

ow just thinking, you should put the link-local ip address, not the public one? not sure about that, depend on your hypervisor?

That did something:

[root@KNTCLCN001 ~]# ssh -i /root/.ssh/id_rsa_cloud -p 3922 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Warning: Identity file /root/.ssh/id_rsa_cloud not accessible: No such file or directory.

[root@KNTCLCN001 ~]#

Also, even though Cloudstack shows the SSVM as running, it keeps showing this in the logs:

DEBUG [cloud.server.StatsCollector] (StatsCollector-3:null) There is no secondary storage VM for secondary storage host nfs://10.89.99.21/SecStorage
