XenServer 5.6 SP2
CloudStack 2.2.12

I have the secondary storage attached, downloaded the template, unmounted, added the secondary storage to cloudstack, and added my management network to the secstorage.allowed.internal.sites setting in global settings (192.168.5.0/24).

The SSVM has started and stays running, but when I run the /usr/local/cloud/systemvm/ssvm-check.sh it's telling me it can't resolve the download...com address.
I tried to ping 8.8.8.8 (google dns) and I get a timeout. So my problem is the SSVM can't get to the internet, not an actual DNS problem. I'm not able to ping the public gateway either from the SSVM.

How can I fix this?

xen.private.network.device = cloud-private
xen.public.network.device = cloud-public
xen.storage.network.device1 = cloud-data
xen.guest.network.device = <blank>

Simple networking. Public, private, and data network each have there own NICs, no vlans setup.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've come to the conclusion that a person could spend a lot of time doing nothing more than helping to debug CloudStack network configuration issues. We really need to think about how we might be able to build a script (programmatic or procedural) that would allow people to determine why things are not working.

A good place to start (for Xen based deployments) would be the collection of the data needed to do analysis:

From one of your XenServer hosts:
1. brctl show > /tmp/host_cfg.txt
2. xe network-list params=all >> /tmp/host_cfg.txt
3. xe pif-list params=all >> /tmp/host_cfg.txt
4. xe vif-list params=all >> /tmp/host_cfg.txt

From your management server:

5. mysql -E -u cloud -p -e 'select * from cloud.host' >> /tmp/mgt_cfg.txt
6. mysql -E -u cloud -p -e 'select * from cloud.host_details' >> /tmp/mgt_cfg.txt

Edit out any domain name or password information you don't want to be made public from the host_cfg.txt and mgt_cfg.txt files and enclose them along with your forum post.

We can work on refining this, but it's a start.

Thanks for you help brooks.

I thought I had this down... but I'm certainly lost right now.
Please let me know if you need any more information.

You did't include this one:

xe network-list pamram=all >> /tmp/host_cfg.txt

Things look very strange. Your SSVM has 2 "cloud-private" VIFs attached to your SSVM both of which are attached to eth0 and no "cloud-public" attached VIF, hence no external connectivity. I beginning to think 2.2.13 has a problem using the "cloud-public" tag given the problems I've seen over the last few days.

Running that gives an error...
Error: Unknown field 'pamram'

Just a typo, try:

xe network-list params=all >> /tmp/host_cfg.txt
